How GeoForge handles website information.

This policy explains the information collected through the GeoForge website, how it is used, and the choices available to website visitors.

DEV configuration draft

This document describes the privacy-minimal configuration being validated in DEV and will be finalized before production launch.

1. Scope and website operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the GeoForge website and information submitted through its project inquiry form. The website is operated by GeoForge, Inc., 1300 Meridian St N, STE 200A, Huntsville, AL 35801.

This policy does not govern information collected through a separate client agreement, project delivery environment, employee relationship, or third-party website.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you submit a project inquiry, GeoForge collects the information you enter, which may include your name, company, work email, phone number, project location, market, program scale, timeline, capture cadence, site or asset scope, services of interest, and project description.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential client information, government identifiers, financial account information, health information, or information you are not authorized to share.

Information collected automatically

GeoForge does not use visitor-level analytics, advertising pixels, behavioral tracking, or cross-site tracking on this website. Website hosting and security systems create routine technical logs that may include an IP address, requested URL, referring page, browser or user-agent information, request status, and timestamp.

GeoForge may review aggregated search-performance information supplied by search engines, such as impressions, clicks, and search terms. This does not require a GeoForge visitor-tracking script.

3. How we use information

GeoForge may use website information to:

  • review and respond to inquiries;
  • understand project location, scope, timing, and service needs;
  • prepare for follow-up conversations, proposals, or requested services;
  • operate, maintain, and secure the website;
  • identify spam, misuse, technical problems, or security incidents;
  • maintain appropriate business records and comply with applicable obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, GeoForge processes inquiry information to take steps requested by the person submitting the inquiry and for its legitimate interests in responding to prospective clients, protecting the website, and maintaining appropriate business records.

4. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

GeoForge does not place analytics or advertising cookies and does not use browser local storage to identify anonymous visitors. WP Engine and its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, may set a short-lived, strictly necessary security cookie such as __cf_bm to distinguish automated traffic and protect the website. This cookie typically expires after approximately 30 minutes and is not used by GeoForge to build a visitor profile.

Authorized administrators who sign in to manage the website receive WordPress authentication and security cookies.

The inquiry form uses a short-lived, salted value derived from an IP address to limit automated submissions. The value expires after approximately one minute and is not used to build a visitor profile.

If GeoForge later introduces nonessential analytics, advertising technology, or embedded services that require consent, this policy and the website’s consent controls will be updated before those technologies are enabled.

5. How information is disclosed

GeoForge uses WP Engine and its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, for website hosting, security, backups, and technical logging, and Microsoft 365 for inquiry email and related communications. These providers process information in connection with the services they provide to GeoForge.

GeoForge may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse or security events, or support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets.

GeoForge does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

GeoForge and its service providers primarily process website information in the United States. When applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, GeoForge relies on appropriate contractual or other recognized transfer mechanisms.

6. Retention and security

Project inquiry submissions are sent by email and are not stored as form entries in the WordPress website database. An inquiry that does not become an active opportunity or client relationship is ordinarily deleted after 24 months without activity. Active opportunities, client communications, proposals, contracts, and related records are retained under GeoForge’s applicable business-record practices.

The inquiry form’s anti-spam value expires after approximately one minute. Hosting, security, error, and backup records are retained under applicable operational schedules and may remain temporarily in backups until those backups roll off.

GeoForge uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your choices and requests

You may choose not to submit the project inquiry form and instead contact GeoForge by phone. Because GeoForge does not use analytics or advertising identifiers on the public website, there is no visitor analytics profile to opt out of.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information. To ask about information associated with a website inquiry, or to request access, correction, or deletion, contact [email protected]. GeoForge may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required.

8. Children

The GeoForge website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children. GeoForge does not knowingly use the website to solicit personal information from children.

9. Third-party websites

The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

GeoForge may update this policy to reflect changes in website practices, services, or applicable requirements. The effective date above will be revised when the policy changes materially.
